OMS of South Texas Reopening Announcement

We are very excited to announce that OMS of South Texas has reopened the office. We will be on a partial schedule initially and will announce when the office returns to the normal full-time schedule in the near future.

As we are all aware, coronavirus (COVID-19) has made a considerable impact on our community as it has throughout the world.
The recommendations set forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have always been strictly followed in our office. Keeping those recommendations at the forefront, we have implemented several changes to take additional precautions to ensure that our staff and patients are safe.

Our office has always implemented exhaustive infection control measures. In addition to those, we are revamping our precautions by using the recommended face mask respirators, eye protection, face shields, and isolation gowns. We have adopted a method of frequent whole-office fog/mist disinfection that utilizes non-toxic and environmentally friendly compounds. We also will have ultraviolet lamps in our treatment rooms that will be used as an extra measure of precaution after the fog/mist disinfection. All staff will be screened for COVID19 symptoms and risks before being allowed to come to work on a daily basis.

Prior to their appointment all patients and any person who accompanies them will be screened for COVID19 symptoms and risks. Only those who meet the criteria will be able to be seen at this time. Our waiting room will be temporarily closed and we kindly request that all patients wait in their vehicle for further instruction once they’ve checked in to their appointment either by text or phone. We ask that all patients come alone to their appointment. If the patient is a minor, only one parent/legal guardian may be present during the evaluation visit. A mask will be required for anyone entering the office. The temperature of both the patient and the parent/legal guardian will be checked. Hand sanitizer will be provided to use upon entering the office and as needed. Social Distancing guidelines will be followed. All patient appointments will be staggered apart enough to minimize possible contact with other patients. The office and treatment areas will be properly disinfected between each patient.

We look forward to taking good safe care of our patients! One of our staff will communicate with you to schedule your appointment. All the visit information and protocol changes will be communicated to you prior to your appointment. Please be patient as we get in touch with you soon.
